Nudgeproof — Privacy Policy

Nudgeproof is a fictional puzzle game about tracing one or more recorded actions to their hidden consequences. Core play is local and does not require an account.

The short version

Case progress, personal bests, preferences, and recovery records stay on this device. Nudgeproof has no account, cloud sync, advertising, or product-usage analytics. The Full Game screen separately contacts Apple and RevenueCat to show, buy, verify, or restore the one-time ranked-mode purchase.

Data stored on your device

  • whether onboarding is complete
  • case attempts, outcomes, mastery, and ranked personal bests
  • accessibility, sound, and haptic preferences
  • bounded recovery copies if the local progress file cannot be read

The progress store is kept in Application Support, protected by iOS file protection, excluded from device backup, and bounded to 512 KiB. You can delete it from Settings → Delete local progress. Removing the app also removes it.

What leaves your device

Core play makes no network requests. Nudgeproof contacts RevenueCat and the Apple App Store in two situations: every time the app returns to the foreground, to re-check whether Full Game access is still valid, and when you open Full Game, to retrieve the current product, make a purchase, or restore a purchase.

RevenueCat may receive a RevenueCat-generated anonymous App User ID and Purchase History for this app. RevenueCat uses Purchase History for App Functionality and Analytics, including receipt validation, entitlement delivery, and its purchase dashboard. Nudgeproof does not provide RevenueCat with a name, email address, account identity, case result, personal best, preference, or recovery file.

Sharing

Sharing begins only when you press Share and then choose a destination in the iOS share sheet. The share preview contains a fictional case result. Recovery exports also use the system share sheet and occur only after your explicit action.

What we do not collect

  • no contact information or account identity
  • no advertising identifier or tracking data
  • no location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, motion, or health data
  • no product-usage analytics, crash-reporting SDK, or advertising SDK
  • no case result, personal best, preference, or recovery content off-device

GDPR and your control

Local game data remains until you delete it or remove the app. YIP Labs does not hold a server-side copy. Apple and RevenueCat retain purchase records and the anonymous App User ID under their own policies and may process them outside the EU under their own safeguards.

Legal basis for purchase processing: performance of a contract. If you are in the EU or UK, rights may include access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection where applicable. Contact us and we will coordinate with the relevant processor where needed.

Data controller: YIP Labs — the public trader details required for EU distribution will be shown on the App Store listing before release.

Children

Nudgeproof is not directed at children and does not request a name, email address, or account identity.

Changes and complaints
