Saved Here — Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 2026-09-24
This statement covers the Saved Here iOS app and is published to meet the documentation requirement of the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882).
Our position
Saved Here is built to work with the accessibility features people already rely on in iOS, rather than with a separate "accessible mode". We aim to meet EN 301 549, which incorporates WCAG 2.1 Level AA for non-web software.
What is supported
- VoiceOver — every control has a label, actions are reachable in a sensible order, and headings are marked as headings.
- Dynamic Type — text scales to the largest accessibility sizes. Layouts reflow rather than truncate or overlap.
- Reduce Motion — respected throughout.
- Contrast — text and controls are checked against WCAG AA contrast ratios.
- Touch targets — interactive controls are at least 44×44 points.
- Orientation — the app does not require a specific orientation to be used.
- No colour-only information — anything conveyed with colour is also conveyed with text or shape.
Specific to Saved Here
- Saved items are reachable by VoiceOver in the same order they appear visually.
- Search results announce their count so the outcome of a search is not visual-only.
Known limitations
We would rather state these than imply a completeness we have not verified.
- Physical-device verification is incomplete. Accessibility has been verified extensively in the iOS Simulator, including at the largest text sizes. Testing with VoiceOver on physical hardware across the full flow is still in progress.
- No independent accessibility audit has been carried out.
- We have not tested every combination of assistive technology, external keyboards, or Switch Control.
This statement is updated as those gaps close.
Feedback
If any part of Saved Here is unusable with an accessibility feature, please tell us. We treat accessibility reports as bugs, not feature requests.
