Saved Here — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-09-24
Saved Here keeps the things you want to find again. This policy describes what the app does with them.
The short version
What you save stays on your device. We have no content server or account system, and no product-usage analytics. We cannot read what you save, because it never reaches us. RevenueCat separately processes anonymous Purchase History for subscription Analytics and App Functionality.
What stays on your device
- the items you save — text, links, images, and scans
- anything you capture through the share sheet or the scanner
- your notes, organisation, and search history within the app
There is no account, no sign-in, and no server-side copy. You can delete individual items, or everything at once, from Settings. Removing the app removes its local Saved Here copy; it does not delete an original file managed by Apple or another Files provider.
Apple features the app uses
- Share extension — receives what you explicitly share to Saved Here from another app. It only ever sees what you choose to send.
- Spotlight — indexes your saved items so you can find them from iOS search. This index stays on your device and is managed by iOS.
- Home Screen widgets show generic shortcuts without saved titles, links, thumbnails, or item counts.
- App Intents let you open supported Saved Here routes from Shortcuts.
- Camera (scanner) — used only while you are actively scanning. Scans are saved to your library on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
- Files / iCloud document import — if you explicitly select a file from Files or iCloud, Apple or the chosen provider supplies that file. Saved Here keeps a local copy; it does not upload or sync your library between devices.
- App Group — shares data only between this app's processes on the device, including its extensions. It does not sync a library between devices.
What leaves your device
Only purchase and access checks. Saved Here may contact RevenueCat and the Apple App Store when the app launches and when purchase, restore, or retry actions run, to load purchase options and refresh access. Apple and RevenueCat handle payment directly; we never see your payment details.
RevenueCat may receive a RevenueCat-generated anonymous App User ID and Purchase History for this app. It uses Purchase History for Analytics and App Functionality, including its purchase dashboard, receipt validation, and entitlement delivery.

- RevenueCat: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy/
No saved content is transmitted to us, to RevenueCat, or to anyone else.
What we do not do
- No product-usage analytics or telemetry. RevenueCat's limited Purchase History analytics are described above.
- No advertising or advertising identifiers.
- No third-party trackers.
- No location, microphone, motion, or health data.
- We do not read, scan, or index your library on any server. There is no server.
- Nothing sold or shared.
Children
Saved Here is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from them.
Your control
Your library is yours and lives on your device. Delete individual items or all of them from Settings; removing the app removes its local Saved Here copy and its Spotlight index, not any original file managed by Apple or another Files provider. There is no account to close and no server-side copy for us to delete.
Changes
If the app's data behaviour changes, this policy is updated at the same time.
Purchases and what that means for your data
The app uses RevenueCat to manage purchases through the Apple App Store. When the app launches and when purchase, restore, or retry actions run, RevenueCat may receive its anonymous App User ID and Purchase History for this app. It does not receive your name, your email, or anything you created in the app.
Saved Here does not supply an account identifier, because there is no account. The anonymous App User ID and Purchase History are not linked to an account identity and are not used for advertising or tracking by Saved Here.
Legal basis under GDPR: performance of a contract — we cannot deliver or restore a purchase without it.

Your rights under GDPR
If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, and port your personal data, and to object to processing.
YIP Labs does not maintain an account, profile, or server-side copy of your Saved Here content. Purchase records and the anonymous App User ID are processed by Apple and RevenueCat as described above.
For purchase records, Apple and RevenueCat act as our processors. To exercise rights over purchase data, contact us and we will pass the request on.
Data controller: YIP Labs — contact details are shown on our App Store listing as required by the EU Digital Services Act.
Data retention
Data on your device is retained until you delete it or remove the app. YIP Labs does not retain a server-side copy of that content. Purchase records and the anonymous App User ID are retained by Apple and RevenueCat under their own policies.
International transfers
YIP Labs does not transfer your Saved Here content. Apple and RevenueCat may process purchase data outside the EU under their own safeguards; see their policies above.
Complaints
If you believe your data has been handled improperly, you may lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority. In Belgium this is the Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données), https://www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be
